Psalms 139:14
Have you ever sat and just marveled at you! Having the opportunity to explore the human being from different angles (philosophical, muscular-skeletal, psychological, Theological) I can appreciate the Psalmists' words. We are often buried in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We give into the demands from the day without a thought. But that is not how God designed us. We were designed with intention to be intentional. That intentionality given to us from the Creator (God) so that we can be intentional in all aspects of our life. As we kick off this New Year, What are you intentional about? We call these resolutions, or goals or what ever. But I challenge you to think about what is it that you are going to intentionally be, do or have in 2011. When you look back at 2011 what can you say that you intended and brought about in your life?

Success of the Past Year
My biggest success came in the physical change that I was able to undergo.
I managed to love 13 lbs. of fat and I gained some lbs of muscle in the process.
Although my weight was the same as it was two years earlier, my physique changed.
This was all part of my plan for complete fitness.
How did this happen?
Stay tuned...

Getting Ready for 2011
Wow! It's been about a year since I've hit this blog. Amazing that time has flown. So what has happned this past year? Lots!
I misplaced about 10lbs of fat. (Most people say they lost weight)
I also gained weight too. ( Not sure how much lbs of muscle but hey it's good weight.
About two years ago I weighed the same amount but my body shape looked different.
More on that later!
For now, look back on your 2010 and check your successes. You'll be suprised at how much you have done.

Making 2010 Your Year
So the end of January is here. How you doing on those resolutions? Well if you haven't checked your progress then nows the time.
Most people give up. Most people think that if they havent maintained their goals for the new year by now... well... to heck with them.
That thinking is a receipe for disaster and you'll end up like you did in '09.
So... check where you are and make the necessary adjustments to get you where you need to be.
It's never too late. Remember, we can change our destination in an instant, but it does take time to change our course.
Stay the path and never give up!

Vegetarianism
People ask me if I am a vegetarian. As much as I don't eat meat, i'm not really a vegetarian. I'm more of a slaughtatarian. I would love a piece of steak if I knew that the cow was loved and care for during it's entire life. I think the Native Americans had it right when it came to killing the buffalo. There was respect and a sacredness about the process. It is this left out process in which I choose to not participate.
So that leaves us with Plant based foods. Being forced to learn more about the things I am eating, I am fascinated with the amount of nutrients in our plants. The nutrients which help ward off disease and sickness.
So, the move to eat plants was really a move to increae my health and longevity.

From 10 lbs in 9 days to eating Raw foods.
As the former owner of a Martial Arts Fitness facility, I have had the opportunity to learn much about what works in real life application of getting in shape or losing weight.
In the early days we offered an incredible 10 week fitness program. This program had the participants work out 6 days a week alternating between cardio and resistance training. They were to record their food choices in a journal throughout the 12 weeks. Basically a Martial Arts version of the famous "Body for Life" program.
We weighed, and measured the praticipants 3x (beginning, middle, and end of the program).
Interestingly enough, we found that those who adhered the eating format achieved the BEST results.
As short time later, my colleague who is an acupuncture physician introduced me to nutritional cleansing. The hype was that people were losing about 10lbs in 9 days. The results were...
